We took our top 100 selling items and compared pricing with the competition. This is what we found:
Surprised? To be honest, we were too. We know that we offer good value to our customers’ on a daily basis but it’s a tough business when you’re competing with the “megas” like Staples and Office Depot. So, we took a closer look behind these numbers and made the following observations: - We are a ‘non-stocking’ dealer. This means that we don’t tie our money up in inventory that could sit around for a long time and cost us warehouse space as well as the value of the product. (Pretty amazing when you consider we are also next day delivery)! - This also means, we don’t have the overhead of staff for warehousing, purchasing, sales and human resources. - We don’t spend millions on advertising that ultimately has to be paid for by our customers. These are just some of the reasons why we have the ability to not only compete but exceed your expectations with pricing, service and product range. So next time you think of running to Staples or OfficeMax, think again. It might not be just the gas that’s costing more. Overall savings by percentage when purchasing with Simply Office Supplies were as follows: 20% less than Staples 18% less than Office Depot 26% less than OfficeMax 30% less than Quill Note: We also wanted to compare pricing against Corporate Express and some independent dealers. We were unable to do this due to the inconsistency of their pricing i.e. frequent price changes and varying discounts.
